Music is the most ephemeral of the arts. Any notation of it is an unintelligible language to most humans, and its accessibility outside of the live performance domain is only enabled by time-shifting technologies, captured under the broad heading of “recording.” It is also among the most collaborative of the arts, inasmuch as in performance, there are inevitably variations, deviations from the initial conception of the work: even a solo performance by the composer will be subject to the vagaries of time and circumstance the affect performer and audience alike. Recording enables comparison, evaluation, and judgment above and beyond the creator’s initial concept.
As it happens, many of the techniques involved in recording carry with them implications in languages foreign to musicians: managing the various resources and time involved in these creative processes is a delicate and time-consuming task. This has been the focus of musician/technologist Jacques Mignault for some time: he was the creator of SkyTracks, which anticipated the disruptions of the COVID pandemic by facilitating musical collaboration over the internet. Now, with Gig.Studio Pro, he is integrating the entire musical community.
Gig.Studio Pro makes the whole process easier to pull off, from rehearsals to recording sessions to live gigs.
Rehearsing on your own can be fun again.
Five years in development, fifteen years of research, Gig.Studio is the show and the session producer's dream. Whether you're the unjustly underappreciated band leader, or the Big Band arranger of the hour getting his musicians and his songs in a row,
we're doing it all.
Our roadmap is impressive.
And vaporware, it is not.
We'll be unveiling new features one by one. We're finishing up preparing for Beta testing in a week or two. If you are interested, leave us a note below.
Very soon, you can start using the free Gig Studio Recorder.
And the Gig Studio Plugin will follow shortly after that.
And then some.
Before the gig, you need the band on the same page.
Gig Studio handles this. Very well.
